Arizona football: Orlando Bradford arrives in Tucson to compete

A lot of freshmen are starting to report to campus and we got the chance to catch up with Orlando Bradford, 3-star running back out of Calvary Baptist (Shreveport, LA).

"It hasn't hit me yet", Bradford said about playing at the next level. "I picked Arizona because the coaches really show love there", he continued. This isn't the first time we've heard this, as Michael Eletise, 5-star OT recruit, has also said the same about the coaching staff.

Bradford will be roommates with his high school teammate, Shun Brown. Louisiana has turned into a nice recruiting spot for Rich Rodriguez and even Bradford is helping out. Arizona offered Chanse Sylvie, 3-star safety, and has been hearing some recruiting pitches from his former teammate.

Bradford can't wait for the first game, he said. "I'm gonna surprise them", when talking about the fans.

Bradford certainly has the potential to come in and get some reps as a true freshman. Nick Wilson will be the do-it-all, every down back, but with 12-straight games and his injury history, the freshman Bradford might be in line for some carries.

Jonathan Haden made the switch from receiver to running back, which puts him in the mix as well, on top of the experience and consistency of 5th year back, Jared Baker. Baker had 25 carries for 99 yards and two touchdowns this past season.
