Joss Whedon Ponders the Future as 'Avengers: Age of Ultron' Wraps (PHOTO)
Well, after nearly six months of principle photography, writer/director Joss Whedon is mostly finished with shooting “Avengers: Age of Ultron.” On Twitter (via Slashfilm), the filmmaker posted a horribly photo-shopped picture of himself with the words: “Avengers 2 Wrapped - What the hell do I do now?” Oh, that Joss, what a wiseacre. (He later tweeted a more sincere note thanking the crew: “These people made the movie and made my year.”)
Of course, to answer Whedon’s question — he’s probably got to get cracking on editing (the early-May 2015 release date is looming quite large), take a look at the next season of “Agents of SHIELD" (and "Agent Carter”), oversee whatever is coming down the pipeline in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and, oh yeah, sleep. (When we visited the set earlier this summer, Whedon looked tired as hell.)
For those of you who don’t know, “Avengers: Age of Ultron” reunites superheroes and villains played by Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Scarlett Johansson, Chris Hemsworth, Jeremy Renner, Samuel L. Jackson, and Cobie Smulders, while new characters to the franchise arrive in the form of Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Elizabeth Olsen, James Spader, and Paul Bettany.
“Avengers: Age of Ultron” opens May 1st, 2015. The recently screened Comic-Con footage blew our minds.
